The poweredbyCULTURE100 is a program to recognize and bring together an exclusive collective of Maryland’s top CEO’s and executives with the common mission to promote vibrant workplace experiences throughout the state.

Our research team started with more than 1,000 companies. Initially, we focused on what we call Tier 1 companies. Companies that it is easy and obvious from how they communicate that culture is at the heart of their existence. 

We also found some amazing Tier 2 companies that applied on their own or were referred to us. A Tier 2 company is one that quietly runs a successful business with an innovative workplace culture. 

We are ready to announce the 100 most innovative workplace cultures in greater Baltimore.


SPECIAL COMMENTS ABOUT 2021
The companies being recognized in 2021 are especially unique because they were mostly identified prior to the shutdown. That situation forced these leaders to act decisively and do things that are contrary to how they had run their companies. Words like restructure, furlough, layoffs, pay-cuts, PPP and work from home, were not part of the poweredbyCULTURE vocabulary.

They were left with no choice. While we believe that these leaders acted with care and concern as they did what they had to do, we also understand, it left scars. Scars on the team that believed and trusted the culture and scars on the leaders that, for the time being, let some team members down. 

We also know that things will return to normal and these companies, these leaders will quickly return to their core values.
