Estates and Trusts Secretary

Niles, Barton and Wilmer seeks an experienced legal secretary to support busy estates and trusts department. Qualified candidate should have 5+ years of legal secretary experience with 1+ years in estates and trusts or 5+ years in transactional practice. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with estate and trust administration, including life insurance trust administration and experience preparing will and trust instruments. Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask complex assignments and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook. Litigation Paralegal

Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP seeks an experienced full-time litigation paralegal with at least 3 years’ experience to join our Litigation practice. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate, and have extensive knowledge of civil procedure and the filing practices in the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland, Federal courts, and the Superior Court for D.C. Responsibilities include medical record abstract, medical record request/follow-up, assist with all phases for upcoming trial/mediation, client billing utilizing billing program, drafting pleadings, correspondence, answering telephone calls, file organization, contact process servers for serving of documents, deposition summaries and scheduling of lawyers for upcoming depositions. E-filing through various electronic filing systems in multiple courts. Must be able to maintain positive working relationship and assist with large volume of cases. Ideal candidate will be reliable, work independently and provide direct support to litigation teams. Only qualified candidates need apply.
