Our mission at Blue Ocean is to create and deliver exceptional value to our residents, commercial tenants, employees and partners. We accomplish our mission by being highly motivated and detail oriented, while operating with a robust, but efficient local infrastructure. With these attributes ever present in our day to day operations, we maintain an advantage that allows us to consistently deliver results. At Blue Ocean we believe that it is the hundreds of small tasks that one must perform well each and every day to be successful in creating exceptional value in the world of real estate. With this in mind, we work diligently and aggressively to maximize the return on our partner’s investment.

What we do (products & services)

Blue Ocean is active in a variety of sectors within the real estate industry including multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hospitality, and self-storage. sectors. Today, the Blue Ocean portfolio consists of 23 properties valued at approximately $450,000,000. This portfolio consists of 3,000 apartment homes and almost 3,500,000 square feet of commercial space.

Blue Ocean's Personal Time Off (PTO) benefit offers starting employees 18 days off a year. The accrual rate increases with seniority, One 8 hour floating holiday is also given to employees each year to use on a calendar holiday that the company does not close for and observe.

How we handle flex-time and telecommuting

Employees in positions that have the ability to work remotely are provided the technology to perform their job functions from home and locations outside the office.

We believe in investing in employee development and promoting within the company, whenever possible. We evaluate employee performance annually, and use the evaluation as a two way conversation to review and highlight past performance and make development goals for the new year.
