F&P principal, Imoh E. Akpan, co-chairs this event. Franklin & Prokopik is dedicated, both as a firm and as individuals, to giving back to the community. The firm has a weekday group volunteer outing every quarter that is open to all employees. We partner with various organizations and programs including. Franklin & Prokopik believes that lessening our environmental footprint is important to our employees, our clients, and our community. We hope our efforts are contributing to setting the bar in the legal industry. The firm is committed to “reduce, reuse, recycle.” We provide a large quantity of resource materials to our clients which we now put on USBs, saving thousands of sheets of paper a year, and we use electronic document management as much as possible. Recycle bins are located in every office and throughout common areas for when printing is necessary. When we have extra materials such as folders or paper we no longer need, it is donated to Baltimore City schools. F&P eliminated the use of disposable cups (eliminating 17,000 that were being purchased each year) and now use washable mugs along with wooden stirrers. We also upgraded our cleaning supplies to include reusable synthetic sponges.

In 1999, nine lawyers envisioned a better way to meet the distinctive needs of their clients doing business across the Mid-Atlantic region – to provide more effective and efficient representation by combining local jurisdictional knowledge with reasonable fee structures. This vision of providing the highest quality personal service with affordable rates has led to significant growth, as we attract and develop other like-minded attorneys to serve our clients. We are the combined intellect, experience, and empathy of our partners, associates, employees and the clients we serve.

We strive to find the best ways to meet the distinctive needs of our clients and provide more effective and efficient representation by combining local jurisdictional knowledge with reasonable fee structures. From twenty-four hour emergency services to complex litigation, we listen carefully to our clients and tailor our services to meet their outcome goals and cost goals. We are guided by the belief that there is more than one way to resolve a dispute, and that it is our job is to identify the resolution strategy that best meets our clients’ needs.

At Franklin & Prokopik, we firmly believe that our policies and practices create a positive working environment for our employees. We maintain an informal and flexible atmosphere, emphasizing cooperation and a team approach to the representation of our clients. Why you will appreciate our office space, layout and environment.
The space encourages collaboration while offering the privacy needed to perform certain tasks. The firm is very lenient with items in individual offices. We are allowed to hang what we want, have a fridge and microwave, etc. Management also makes the staff feel included in opinions and decisions, for example, we are renaming all our conference rooms and all employees are invited to offer suggestions.
