Learn about our Commitment to our Workplace Culture.

  • Culture Initiatives, Corporate Social Responsibility or Sustainability Efforts
  • We believe in a values-focused work culture—one that places an emphasis on practicing mindfulness, empowering collaboration, exemplifying adaptability and celebrating diversity. We have a Office Culture Committee that has subcommittees focused on office culture, social and community service. Subcommittee members work together to ensure that Visit Baltimore is fulfilling its core values through our actions.
  • Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
  • Visit Baltimore underwent its first formal strategic visioning process in 2017. The goal was to create a clear, compelling vision for the future, focused, well-prioritized goals and an action plan that would steer the organization toward the future over the next seven years. The eight-month process was inclusive of input and active participation from a cross-section of the community and industry members and helped Visit Baltimore produce five pillars. These pillars provide a barometer against which all decisions must be measured. These pillars are as follows: 1. Business Model – a sustainable business model marked by increased efficiencies and revenues 2. Marketing & Sales – a marketing and sales platform delivering value for multiple stakeholders 3. Community Engagement – a catalyst for community engagement 4. Culture – a workplace culture of inclusion, opportunity and respect 5. Advocacy – an advocate for tourism and the visitor experience After completing the strategic visioning process and establishing these pillars, our next important step was to establish organizational core values. The entire Visit Baltimore staff participated in a day-long workshop to establish the following core values. Grounded in respect, we: - Practice mindfulness - Empower collaboration - Exemplify adaptability - Celebrate diversity
  • What we do (products & services)
  • Visit Baltimore, a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(6) membership organization, is the official destination marketing organization for the City of Baltimore. We generate economic benefits for the region through the attraction of convention, group and leisure visitors. We also work to provide a positive experience for all guests.
  • How does what we do align with our culture and attract certain types of employees.
  • While we’re living our core values, we’re working harder than ever to drive visitation, book meetings, tell compelling stories and reinforce the power and impact of tourism throughout our communities, in City Hall and around the nation. The marketing and communications team is working in earnest on a robust rebranding effort that will reveal a new transformative brand for the City of Baltimore.
  • Why you will appreciate our office space, layout and environment.
